Activities that take place outside normal teaching hours are an important feature of school life.

As these are generally run by teachers voluntarily in their own time they tend to reflect the current interests and abilities of the teaching staff and may therefore change from term to term.

Moorside School boasts a good reputation for its involvement in 'out of school activites' which include Recorder lessons, Drama, Art and Chess Clubs, Netball, Swimming, Football, Cricket, Athletics, Cross-country and Rounders Clubs, Spanish club, Latin club, Strings Band and Woodwind Band.

Details of current out of school activities can be obtained from the school office.

We do ask children who decide to join a club to always inform the member of staff concerned if they are unable to attend. we also ask parents to ensure that the necessary arrangements are made for their child to get home after attending a club at the end of the school day.
